Bio

Nicholas Pallos is a filmmaker and screenwriter drawn to stories that touch the heart, stir the spirit, and linger long after the credits roll. His work blends emotional honesty with visual poetry, often exploring themes of love, trauma, and transformation.

Born in Detroit and shaped by a family history marked by survival and resilience, Nicholas brings a deep sensitivity to the emotional undercurrents of his work. For him, filmmaking is a deep craft; a way of transmuting pain into beauty and seeking light through the shadows.

He studied screenwriting and directing at Wayne State University, the University of Michigan, and the Detroit Filmmakers Coalition, and later honed his voice in the heart of the Los Angeles film industry, working across indie and studio productions.

His past projects include Neither Here Nor There - The Waiting Room, which won honors at the Honolulu International Film Festival, the meditative art doc Firewood, and Shadowplay, a layered feature exploring consciousness through intimate character arcs.

His newest film, A Couple of Secrets, is his most personal to date - an intimate, at times surreal journey into love, truth, and the invisible threads that bind us. Collaborating with an inspired creative team, Nicholas has constructed a modern fable that weaves together fantasy and raw emotion.

Nicholas lives and creates in Los Angeles, where he continues to explore the alchemy of cinema: turning lived experience into story, and story into something that awakens.
